I am a writer & director creating narrative & experience-based work within interdisciplinary performance and reimagined opera.

My work explores social transformation and the interplay between contemporary and mythical worlds through playful stylisation, magic realism, and the female gaze.

Motivated by social & political interest, I create work for the opera house stage, studio theatre, and public spaces. Since 2020, I have been expanding my practice digitally

“A multidisciplinarian,
 visionary, tour de force!”
— Exeunt Magazine, Clive and Other Stories
“Plenty of originality.”
— Opera Magazine, Fairy Queen

About

Through opera and interdisciplinary performance, I create contemporary myths, rituals and total-artworks for a world that has forgotten that everything is interconnected. My practice catalyses the power of musical performance, story and immersive experience to reveal deep human truths, and facilitate our collective transformation.

As a director, writer and dramaturg, I love to be an invisible force for unlocking and synthesizing creativity: the magician in the room. I love to create large-scale opera with leading directors, baroque and contemporary chamber works, and interdisciplinary performances, working with a range of collaborators, from artists to young people, curators, scientists, digital artists, and babies.

I have created award-winning projects for spaces including The Linbury Studio Theatre - Royal Opera House, The Lawrence Batley Theatre and The Eden Project. Working with artists and communities internationally, my productions have been featured on BBC Radio 3, ITV and Channel 4.
