THE DREAM PROM

CREATIVE DIRECTOR | SCRIPTWRITER

I was Creative Director of the BBC Dream Prom — an immersive storytelling concert which transformed the Royal Albert Hall through a series of dreamscape projections and live music to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the BBC. Broadcast live on Radio 3, we took the audience on a journey deep into the subconscious mind, its shadows, and the memories that make us who we are. Omari Douglas (It’s a Sin, HBO) took the leading role of Sky who turns to a Dream Journal to understand his relationship with his father, and his own mind.

As Creative Director, I led a team of 100+ people including 30 BBC Open Music artists from a range of backgrounds across the UK to create an evening which felt like it belonged to them. A Scriptwriter, I worked collaboratively to interweave their ideas with my own original material to create a series of vignettes on the subject of dreams, identity and mental wellbeing.
